The Resident

The Resident, you may not of heard about this movie, but I am telling you on a day with nothing to watch it was OK.  The Resident is about a young ER doctor, staring Hilary Swank. She moves into a Brooklyn Loft, and things get a little bit weird. When her  landlord played by Jeffery Dean Morgan, becomes obsessed with her.  This movie was, I guess suppose to be a thriller, and suspenseful.  It was neither.  The plot of the story was good , but I felt the writers had a problem conveying the psychological  problem of voyeurism and the thin line between  a person who watch and a rapist.  The movie never went into any details,  why he went into so much excess preparation for this special victim, and what made her so elite.

The  movie then went into a series turn of events , when the ex- boyfriend came back into her life.  I was positive that as an ER doctor,  she would of discovered her mysterious landlord mental problems before it become to hot to handle.  I agree, I was wrong!   My only  question was, when she called her ex-boyfriend and said " Don't go to my apartment" after getting a toxicology report that should of been proof to you that you landlord is crazy, and what you do? You don't call the cops, no you don't tell anybody about the toxicology report, even though you are in a hospital. You prove to everyone on the other side of the screen you are unintelligent and went to the apartment.   Yes the apartment, which you already know don't have good cellular receptions.

So in conclusion The Resident was a good movie, if you are bored and want to yell at your T.V. screen.

Rated 5 out of 10
